Elwood Bathhouse is a proposed public bathhouse on Melbourne’s Port Phillip Bay, for repeatable bayside rituals. The identity needed to establish a place people return to, not add another luxury wellness proposition to the foreshore.

We developed the presale identity around a standalone wordmark, colour palette, and a monogram only where it earns a function. It had to be legible before the building, programme, and photography had their own character.

Coastal material cues, rather than Nordic styling, shape the visual language: limestone, weathered timber, galvanised steel, sea mist, and winter light. Restrained typography and spacing give the brand a civic register, while the palette keeps the foreshore specific without reducing it to beach branding.

The first expression can support presales now, then become richer with the building, regulars, and communal rituals that will define it.
